I'm an author and co-founder of Aphrodite's Apples Press. You can find my debut novel, Immortal Reveries there. It's a vampire novel that combines my love of English history, ancient Gaelic culture and mythos, and the South. I am currently working on its follow up, Strange Days. Once upon a time I was a schoolteacher and a speech-language pathologist, but I'm writing full-time now. I have strong opinions on education and the rights of people with disabilities. I've done lay advocacy work for children with disabilities and their families, mostly related to our screwy "free and appropriate education" and what some think passes for "appropriate."

Fear not. This is buzznet and I'll probably use this mostly to squeal about bands that I like. I've been ignoring popular music because it went through a dumbed down period, but there's a renaissance now--thank you MCR for bringing some brains back to rock and roll.

Writing, publishing, music--mostly alternative and rock, with a bit of goth/industrial thrown in for fun. Hmm, what else? Paganism, GLBT rights, politics (I don't blog a lot on it, but if I do I skew Democratic/Libertarian--I am on the cusp of "yes, the gov't f*cks up a lot of stuff, but if we don't take care of our poor, we pay for it. And having worked in Title One schools, we ARE PAYING, guys. Shame on us!)
